The wall project demonstrates two things: the range of textures and surfaces possible with fabric forming and more importantly the practical application of fabric forming in a proprietary cladding system.
Assembly: A series of 28 concrete panels were manufactured using a variety of fabrics and surfaces. All panels had a minimum thickness of 35 mm. After casting the panels were assembled into an open jointed rain screen cladding system supplied by Fischer UK Ltd. , normally used for thin stone panels. ……………………………….
Fixings: The panels are attached to horizontal aluminium extrusions using drilled fixings and aluminium cleats that allow very precise alignment.
The wall was devised and developed by Remo Pedreschi and designed and manufactured by Keith Milne
