Change to service at Art & Architecture library, Minto House, this summer

The Art & Architecture departmental library, at Minto House, Chambers Street, will have reduced opening hours over the summer, to accommodate a building project in Minto House.

From Tuesday 12th June, until Friday 30th August, the A&A Library collection will be accessible for borrowing from 2.00pm – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. Once the building work begins, (scheduled to begin on 24th June), we anticipate that the library service will be for borrowing and returning books only, as the space would not be suitable as study space, due to the noise of the building works.

Due to the limited opening hours, A&A Library users who wish to request delivery of books from the University Collections Facility (offsite store) will be able to choose ECA Library, Evolution House, or Main Library, George Square, as a pick-up point, rather than the A&A Library, for the duration of the building works.

Details of alternative study spaces can be found on the University Library website at:

Please note that from 1st August 2019, the A&A Library collection, and Helpdesk service, will be managed and staffed by the University’s Information Services Group, encompassing the User Services Directorate and the Library & University Collections Directorate, and will no longer be managed by the School.
