eLexicons design database relaunched

eLexicons has recently been relaunched and you can access it via the Art & Design databases page here:

http://www.ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/information-services/library-museum-gallery/finding-resources/library-databases/databases-subject-a-z/database-design

eLexicons is an online database covering the following subjects:

Typography, Graphic Design, Graphic Art, Illustration (including graphic novels), and Lettering Art & Craft.

Further new eLexicons are planned for the future, eg on Manga, and on fashion.

Each subject has different sections with a wealth of reliable and authoritative information on designers, movements, associated periodicals, Schools, Associations, and each section has a Glossary and Bibliography.

There are illustrated sections on typefaces and typefoundries that you might find particularly useful.

Please explore E-Lexicons and let us know what you think of it. The relaunched platform should be i-pad and mobile device friendly.
