Box of Broadcasts – catch up on all those programmes you missed on telly!
If you regularly find yourself missing arts and cultural documentaries or any sort of television programme you can now catch up whenever you like using the University’s membership of Box of Broadcasts.
Just do a search for Box of Broadcasts on the University home page and follow the links, or use this link here: Box of Broadcasts.
You can schedule recordings of programmes you don’t want to miss, then catch up with them later, and there is no cut-off date! (So even better than i-player!)
All you need is your EASE log-in and to be located in the UK.
Tutors! If you want to promote this resource to your students there is a downloadable poster here.
Box of Broadcasts is an off-air recording and broadcast media archive service made available to Higher Education institutions. The service allows you to record programmes scheduled to be broadcast over the next seven days and to retrieve programmes buffered from the previous seven days of recorded channels. You have your own on-line space in which you can store links to recorded, archived and scheduled broadcasts. You can also create playlists in this space and share them with others. All digital terrestrial Freeview channels (as transmitted in London and excluding Open University content) are available for recording. All recorded programmes become available as a searchable archive to every BoB National member.
