The Future for Architects?

The Future for Architects? The Future for Architects? is a new publication from the Royal Institute of British Architects’ (RIBA) think tank Building Futures. Based on a series of one-to-one interviews and round table sessions with architects, students and graduates, clients, consultants and contractors, the study speculates on how the professional landscape might look in 2025. Among other predictions the report discusses new economic realities facing architectural practices, including high growth in emerging markets; architects moving from their traditional job descriptions to expanded and interdisciplinary roles; and new consultative, networked ways of working.
