The ‘Life in 3D’ Symposium takes place on Wednesday 7th May, 10am-4pm.

The ‘Edinburgh 3D Film Festival‘ takes place from Mon 5th – Sat 10th May at Edinburgh Filmhouse.

An airport bus operates between Edinburgh Airport and Waverley (Train) Station. It costs £6 return, £3.50 single. More information can be found here: http://www.flybybus.com/

Waverley Station is about 15-20 minutes’ walk from the Informatics Forum for the symposium (10 Crichton Street, EH8 9AB) as well as from Edinburgh Filmhouse (88 Lothian Road, EH3 9BZ). There are taxi ranks both within and outside the train station. NB It is also possible to flag down black cabs from the street. A yellow light above the cab indicates if they are available for hire.

Information about train services into Edinburgh can be found here: http://nationalrail.co.uk/

Local bus services are run by Lothian Buses. A journey planner can be found on their website: http://lothianbuses.com/ (there is also an app that is very useful).

We are not able to provide car parking facilities to conference delegates on the University campus, unfortunately. Some hotels may offer parking spaces, however. Several park and ride schemes are in operation (see link below). Please contact the conference organisers if you have particular mobility/accessibility needs.
